My Emerson Liebert UPS is not Reporting correctly! but works in windows
So i have successfully setup an ubuntu headless server using 12.04 and I am loving it :)
however, I am migrating from a Windows server here on the network. while the transfer is in progress, these are both running off my Emerson Liebert Network Power UPS, and therefore require getting a monitoring configuration up and running!
great, so i got rid of the default unity/gnome battery monitor application using sudo apt-get remove, and than afterwards i have installed NUT, including some other dependant packages, including a GUI application for monitoring my UPS via nut as well.
the problem is that, after configuring the UPS and NUT using the tutorials i found available online, it is connected (or so it says) and is reporting the Correct type of UPS im pretty sure, but it is not reading the proper variables from the machine.
when i run nut-monitor all the device vars are off and it always says i am running OB (on battery).
i know that the UPS is working as i said i am migrating from a Window installation, and the battery service was working just fine on windows server.
